This is a print of my threads on top of transparent acrylic. My method is a freestitch embroidery, sewn on water soluble fabric, that disappears in water and leaves you with only the threads. The originals are framed between two transparent acrylic plates and this version looks exactly like the original. This portrait belongs to a series called "Disappear". My fabric disappear, we´ll all disappear one day and these pictures will each touch that matter - one way or the other. Each portrait has a QR code, as an earring who you can scan and listen to. The audio file is either a poetry slam called "When I Grow Old" by Sara Hauge, who is a writer and winner of the Danish poetry slam competition 2014. The other audio file, is a whisper conversation in a church, between me and a anonymous friend, where we discuss the fear of death.
