This my very first Meditation Maze—it is part of a series I created as a refuge during a period of work pressure, where building up the collage developed into a meditative practice. I worked intuitively from the center of the piece and gradually outward without any predetermined plan, allowing the final result to be defined by the process itself, with the piece’s form and size naturally finding their conclusion. The title of the work reflects the labyrinthine, almost meditatively repetitive journey that the piece took me through. This piece will continue its life in Spain, as Im traveling there in the beginning of 2025. It will be part of an exhibition at the MONAT Gallery in Madrid.
The size of this piece is 50x50 cm. And the paper / fabric collage is sewn and in between two sheets of museum glass - surrounded by an Oak frame.
