- Inspired by Egon Schiele and his painting "Woman in Blanket"
I made "Woman in Blanket" as part of the exhibition "working with Schiele" back in 2017. This piece was inspired by the paintings by Egon Schiele and his inspiration of the works made by Gustav Klimt - or as he had put it him self - "non" inspiration of Klimt. Therefore I made most of my sewn collage in this serie as a tribute to Schiele figurative portrats, but using lots of gold wrappers one can easily get a Klimt feeling about the piece.
The original piece is made as a sewn paper collage with black threads between two glass sheets. So the piece is party transparent.
